Fahad has secured tens of thousands of pounds in damages for clients who were unlawfully detained.

He works around the clock to protect clients’ interests and is regularly instructed to obtain injunctions to prevent the removal of clients.

Accreditation

Fahad is accredited as a Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, a stringent process involving exams and regular re-accreditation.

He is an experienced advocate at both the First-Tier Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal.

Career

Fahad also works as a consultant with Legal 500 firm Duncan Lewis.

He previously worked with leading immigration firm TRP Solicitors and Legal 500 firms Richard Nelson LLP, Fisher Meredith LLP and Birnberg Peirce & Partners.

He is regularly invited to comment on legal developments by numerous media outlets including the BBC, Sky News, CNN, TRT and Al-Jazeera.

Fahad has spoken at international conferences around the world including at the UN Human Rights Committee in Geneva.

Fahad often writes about current affairs and has had articles published in the Guardian and New Statesman.

Education

Fahad qualified as a solicitor in the UK in 2009.

He completed his education in Ireland where he received an honours law degree from University College Dublin and an honours masters degree in International Human Rights Law from the National University of Ireland, Galway. He also studied for one year at De Paul University, Chicago as part of his degree.

Awards

In 2012, Fahad was short-listed for the AML Human Rights Lawyer of the Year award.

In 2002, Fahad was awarded the Gold Medal for Jurisprudence by the University College Dublin.
